FAQ

What materials do you print in, and which one should I pick?

Mostly PLA and PETG, chosen by what the piece needs to survive rather than by the material name. PLA is rigid with crisp, fine detail and is the right call for decorative or indoor pieces โ€” it holds sharp features well but softens once it gets hot, around its ~60ยฐC glass transition point, so it can warp or even snap under stress at higher temperatures. PETG keeps its structural integrity up to roughly 70โ€“75ยฐC and takes about 3โ€“4x more impact before cracking, which makes it the better pick for anything that has to survive heat, the outdoors, or daily bumps and drops โ€” phone stands, hooks, planters left outside, parts that get handled a lot. Neither PLA nor PETG is UV-stable for the long term outdoors; if a piece needs to survive months of direct sun, ASA or ABS is the more demanding-outdoor-grade choice. Mention where the piece will live when you order and a material will be recommended.

Can you make my idea even if it's not in the gallery?

Almost certainly, yes. The gallery only shows ready-to-order models; most work here starts as a one-off idea. Browse past custom work at /work to see the range of things already made, then send a custom request at /custom with a description, photo, sketch, or existing 3D file โ€” you'll get a reply with feasibility, pricing, and a rough timeline before anything goes into production.

How does pricing work?

Gallery models show a fixed price per size/material variant on their product page. Custom orders are quoted individually after you send a request, since price depends on size, material, print time, and how much design work is involved โ€” you'll always see the price and agree to it before anything is printed.

Do prints come finished, or do I need to clean them up myself?

Every print is hand-finished before it ships โ€” supports are removed and layer lines are cleaned up where they'd affect the look or feel of the piece. Options like sanding, painting, or a different surface finish can be requested on custom orders; mention it when you send your request.

How long does an order take?

Typical turnaround is [TURNAROUND] from order confirmation to shipment, depending on queue length and how involved the design is. You'll get an estimate before your order is confirmed.

What if I need a reprint or a revision?

[REPRINT POLICY]. If a piece arrives damaged, faulty, or doesn't match what was agreed, get in touch and it'll be made right โ€” see the contact page and the shipping & returns policy.

Where do you ship, and how long does delivery take?

Shipping currently covers [REGIONS/TIMES]. See the shipping & returns page for the full policy.

Can I return a custom item?

Custom and made-to-order items are generally non-returnable, since they're produced specifically for you. If something arrives damaged or faulty, get in touch โ€” see the shipping & returns page and the contact page.

What files can I send?

If you already have a 3D model, STL, 3MF, STEP, or OBJ files all work. If you don't have a file, that's fine too โ€” a photo, a sketch, or just a written description is enough to start with.

How do I take care of my print?

Keep PLA prints out of direct sun and hot cars, since it softens at relatively low temperatures. PETG tolerates heat and impact better but can still scratch, so avoid abrasive cleaners. Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth, and avoid soaking or dishwashers unless a piece is specifically described as safe for that.

What sizes can you print?

Prints are made on a Snapmaker U1, with a build volume of [BUILD VOLUME]. Larger pieces can sometimes be split into parts and assembled โ€” mention your size needs when you send a custom request.
